A Day of Care and Community: Troy Price Horseshoeing School Visits Lemler Long Ears

We recently had a wonderful day at Lemler Long Ears as we welcomed the talented team from Troy Price Horseshoeing School in Uniondale to our farm! These skilled students and instructors came out to trim hooves for all of our donkeys, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work, care, and professionalism.

The day started off on a warm and welcoming note with a big homemade breakfast prepared by Jamie, who made sure everyone had a hearty meal before getting to work. It was a great way to kick off the day — full bellies, fresh coffee, and plenty of laughs around the table before heading out to the barn.

From our oldest donkey to our newest babies, every hoof was trimmed with care, keeping our herd happy, healthy, and ready to strut their stuff around the farm. It’s a vital part of donkey care, and we’re thankful to have such a knowledgeable group helping us out.

A huge thank you to Troy Price Horseshoeing School for making the trip to Lemler Long Ears and sharing your time and talent with us. Your work makes a big difference in the lives of our donkeys, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Until then, our donkeys will be trotting comfortably — and maybe even showing off a little — thanks to you!
