Summer Haircuts at Lemler Long Ears: Keeping Our Donkeys Cool and Comfortable

As the warm summer sun shines brighter each day, it’s time for one of our favorite seasonal traditions here at Lemler Long Ears — summer haircuts for our donkeys! Just like us, donkeys can get hot and uncomfortable in the heat, so giving their coats a little trim helps keep them cool, healthy, and happy throughout the season.

Our summer grooming sessions are a mix of careful clipping, gentle brushing, and plenty of love. We take great care to trim just enough so our donkeys can enjoy the breeze without losing their natural protection from the sun and insects.
